The First Children Embassy in the World Međaši demanded from the competent authorities the strictest possible sanctions for the man from Veles suspected of raping his three daughters and to not allow for children to be returned to the family, in view of the risk of them changing their statements under pressure of the relatives and lack of proper understanding of their situation.

Macedonian organisation HOPS - Healthy Options Project Skopje won the 2010 International Award for Action on HIV/AIDS and Human Rights presented by the Canadian HIV/AIDS Legal Network and the Human Rights Watch. The Award, highlighting outstanding contributions that decrease vulnerability to HIV/AIDS and protect the rights and dignity of those infected and affected was presented at the 18th International HIV/AIDS Conference in Vienna.

Twelve civil society organisations that work in the field of HIV/AIDS demand a more intensive national response to achieve a universal approach to the prevention of HIV/AIDS, praising the achievements of the long-term financing provided by the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.

The Macedonian Young Lawyers' Association and the Foundation Open Society Institute - Macedonia marked the entry into force off the changes and amendments to the Law on Free Access to Information with action to distribute educational brochures in front of the Macedonian Radio and Television Building, on June 28, 2010, and offering legal assistance on the topic of access to information to interested citizens.

The participants in the debate “What Macedonia has to Offer to the Youth?”, organized by the Youth Education Forum (MOF) and the Citizens for European Macedonia movement (GEM) on June 15, concluded that the youth should demand more and even enter a conflict with authorities, but only if thath conflict works in the best interest of the society and the state in general.

CIVIL MEDIA - Centre for Media and Freedom of Speech will present its programming and strategic goals, plans and projects at the GEM Club/Menada, in Skopje's Old Bazaar, on Wednesday, June 16. After the presentation, a debate on the topic of "Hate-Speech, Media and Political Culture" will be held.
