The organizers of Belgrade Pride 2013 demanded yesterday, September 19, 2013, from Serbian authorities, to undertake a series of concrete steps to improve the status of the members of LGBT community, noting that the systemic discrimination makes it “the only minority group being threatened with physical elimination because of public expression of its existence and identity”.

The activists of NGO Civil – Centre for Freedom held a satirical performance today, September 6, 2013, on Skopje's Stone Bridge, and promoted „WE ARE THE TRUTH“, a genuine pro-government militant organisation that supports the truth and „the Renaissance Government of the Republic of Renaissance, under the glorious leadership of the Renaissance Party and by the Leader's wisdom and virtue“.

Last Saturday, August 31, 2013, the first public expression wall opened on Makedonija Street in Skopje (the main pedestrian area in the city). The wall allows the citizens to write their thoughts on the topic “Freedom is…”, and it promotes support for freedom of expression and creative use of public spaces.

In the early morning hours last Friday, July 5, 2013, unknown arsonists committed the most serious attack so far on the LGBTi Support Centre in Skopje’s Old Bazaar. They poured gasoline on the wooden roof and set it on fire, and only a timely intervention by the firefighter brigade prevented the Centre from burning to the ground.
