APJK and SEEMO condemn attack against RTK journalist

The Association of Professional Journalist of Kosovo (APJK) condemned the assault against RTK journalist Gëzim Bimbashi last Monday, April 22, in Mitrovicë/Mitrovica while he was reporting about the Serb protest being held there, daily Tribuna writes.

Municipality wants TV Mitrovica to leave its building

Once again, Mitrovicë/Mitrovica Municipality has urged TV Mitrovica to leave its present work premises in three days.

Director of TV Mitrovica Nexhmedin Spahiu and Kosovo Association of the Independent Broadcast Media (AMPEK) believe that this is a political decision.

During July last year the municipality ordered police to take TV Mitrovica out of its building, however this decision was strongly condemned by associations for defending journalists and media freedom.

FLOSS Kosovo announced the opening of Prishtina HackLab, the first Hackerspace in Kosovo, by the end of this month, as part of the three-month pilot-project.

Floss Kosovo invites all young people to be part of the new venture with individual or group project ideas that will have to be realized during their stay at the Hacklab.
