Several hundred citizend responded to the call issued by a group of civic organisations and turned out in a peaceful protest in front of the Assembly of Macedonia on May 29, demanded that the propsed changes to the Law on Aborions that were introduced for urgent adoption procedures to be withdrawn from the agenda of that day's session of the Assembly.

Zelena Akcija Environmental Association (Friends of the Earth Croatia) greeted the suspension of the Ombla Hydropower Plant (Ombla HPP) project. The Croatian Power Company HEP announced on Monday, May 27, 2013, that the EBRD cancelled the loan agreement with HEP to finance the construction of Ombla HPP, a project which Zelena Akcija considers to be extremely harmful.
