The European Movement in Albania (EMA), with the support by the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung and the Think Tank Fund, prepared the “Brain Gain Policies and Their Impact on the European Integration Process of Albania” policy paper, which focuses on a sensitive issues that is yet to be addressed.

The U.S. State Department Trafficking in Persons Report 2010 states that Bosnia and Herzegovina was, for the first time, ranked as a Tier 1 country, which means that the country meets the minimal requirements regarding synchronisation with international standards.

On 31 March 2010 in Sarajevo, with the support from UNDP BiH, the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees organised a conference titled Transitional Justice - Foundation for a Better Future in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The conference was attended by more than 120 representatives of civil society, associations and families of victims, as well as representatives of institutions from all government tiers.

Social activism depends on levels of citizens' awareness and communication, which means that the internet could play a crucial role, being the most important and open mass communications media. Unlike consumers of traditional media, internet users are not mere recipient of information but communicators of information, too. Although many people use internet to fill in their leisure time, it also offers the space and the tools for all forms of social networking, creating the much needed public opinion in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Republic of Srpska Institute of Statistics published the 5th issue of the Bulletin “Women and Men in the Republic of Srpska” that offers systematic and comprehensive data of data related to the status of women and men in RS.

The publication that presents not just data distributed by sexes, but also the data related to issues of gender equality is the Institute’s contribution to increase gender equality in RS.
